Getting Involved

I’ve recently started getting involved in my community more through political action, community service, and attending small town events. It’s all been very rewarding! I strongly encourage anyone that is thinking about dipping their toes into community involvement or if you’re feeling alone, try going to a local event. If you hate it, you at least had an unique experience that will give you more information on what you are searching for.

I was recently on the new for my work with Big Brothers Big Sisters and I was only on air for a minute but man was that a nervous 60 seconds for me. I repeated the question back to the reporter and stumbled over my words quite a bit but I know that this is just the process of getting better at putting myself out there. It’s the first step in a very long journey that I’ll look back at down the road.
